Attock- Lance Naik Abdur Raheem who embraced martyrdom during operation ‘Al- Meezan’ was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Village Dhoke Kisran almost 20-km away from Attock with full military owner. A smart contingent of Pak Army led by Major Kashif Rauf presented guard of honour to the martyr and laid floral wreath on his grave on behalf of the Chief Of Army Staff and Commandant Artillery centre Attock.
Lance Naik Abdur Raheem from FF Regiment embraced martyrdom during an operation against the militants in Orakzai Agency on May 31. He was hit by a rocket propelled grenade fired by militants. The 30-year-old martyr left his father, wife, a daughter, son, three sisters and two brothers bereaved. His father Ajab Khan who is in his late sixties is a retired employ of PAC Kamra. His one brother Abdur Rehman is a Lieutenant in Pak Army and is presently deployed in North Waziristan, his another brother is disable while all his sisters are married.
His father Ajab Khan who was in high spirits told The Nation that this was a great honour for him, his family and for the Attock District that his son embraced Shahadat for the country.
He said that his another son was also in the war and would go to any extent to defend his country. Earlier, the funeral prayer of martyr Abdur Rehman was offered at his Village Kisran, which was attended by a large number of people belonging to different walks of life.
