WAH CANTT - Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) Chief Lt General Wajid Hussain has said that HITEC would be transformed into an institution which would help in linking institutions between Pakistan and world especially Muslim Ummah.
He was talking to newsmen after the 8th annual prize distribution ceremony of HITEC here. He said that HITEC is protecting the nation at educational and knowledge front like its parent organization HIT is protecting nation at defense fronts. He said that those nations excel who rely on modern education as this is the only tool to defeat intolerance, extremism, illiteracy, poverty, unemployment and backwardness. He said that after successful completion of exchange program with United States, HITEC would also ink exchange program with Turkey and Malaysia so that students also learn from the knowledge and experiences of students of these countries. Speaking on this occasion, administrator HITEC Brig Naeem Akbar has said that the education city was established some eight years back from pre-school to post-graduate level. He said that this institute is playing the role of revival of the history through peace, education and tolerance. He said that character building besides traditional studies is the hallmark of this institution.
