Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate 100MW production of power at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park here next week and work on Children Complex Hospital and Eye Complex will be started soon.
Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar expressed the views while addressing lawyers at District Bar Association Bahawalpur here the other day.
He pointed out that no society could flourish without justice and as long as these were merit and justice, societies remained flourishing, quoting a saying of the fourth caliph Hazrat Ali (RA) that any system could run on Kufar (un-Islamic rule) but could not function without justice. He added that justice and democracy in the country had been established thanks to the lawyers struggle. The provincial minister informed that clean water project and rural roads project had been undertaken in the district, adding that work on special project was in progress for the welfare of Cholistanis and provision of more facilities to them.
Mr Channer claimed that after Lahore and Multan, work was in progress to establish Drug Test Laboratory in Bahawalpur, construction of University of Animal Sciences at Chak 11/BC and renovation and restoration of Bahawalpur’s seven historical gates to their previous state.
He said that problems of lawyers will be resolved on priority. He promised that the lawyers demanded for construction of roads in courts, sewerage, fixing of tuff tiles in-front of chambers, allotment of land for the construction of new chambers for young lawyers and parking problems would be resolved soon.
