SWAT - Chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday stated that those placing allegations and those upon whom the allegations are being placed in regards to the Panama Leaks possess offshore companies.
Addressing a rally in Swat, he said that the offshore companies were made using the money of charity organisations and questioned that “is charity money spent in this manner? When will the nation open its eyes?.”
Fazl said that Europe and the US are fighting an economic war against the Muslims, adding, that wars amidst cultures are fought in modern times in the world.
He stated that streams of blood are flowing in the Muslim countries, including Libya, Egypt, Tunis, Algeria and Syria. He said that the situation of these countries is before the entire world to witness.
He blamed former President Pervez Musharraf for pushing the country into the flames of the war against terrorism, adding, that the current rulers have not thought that certain decisions made 15 years ago were wrong.
JUI-F chief said that “we need to apologise to the Muslim Ummah”.
