KALABAGH - Two persons died and seven other were hospitalised after consuming a toxic meal here in Thatti Sharif area, reported a private TV on Sunday.
Citing hospital sources, the TV channel reported that two persons who died are a man and his granddaughter named: Abdul Rehman and 10-year-old Tasneem.
According to local sources, the family slaughtered a goat and consumed its meat as the goat was shivering after it was bitten by a venomous insect which left all of them in a terrible condition.
The seven others whose condition was critical were referred to the District Headquarters Hospital Mianwali. They are identified as a woman, her two sons - Dilawar and Ramzan and four daughters - Irum, Muskaan, Muqadas and Yasmeen, aged between 3 to 15 years.
