ISLAMABAD - Following the killing of TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone strike Friday, Islamabad police chief ordered to beef up security and deployment of extra police force on sensitive installations to avoid any untoward incident.
According to a spokesperson of Islamabad police, security has been beefed up with extra deployment of policemen at churches and mosques in the city. He said the department has deployed extra contingents of force at various sensitive buildings including the Prime Minister House, Parliament and other government buildings. Similarly, a press note issued from the office of Inspector General of Police Sikandar Hayyat stated that all the authorities concerned have been directed to ensure effective security arrangements at sensitive buildings and diplomatic enclave.
