LAHORE : Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has congratulated Editor-in-Chief TheNation Majid Nizami on becoming honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Journalism for his meritorious services in the field of journalism. In a statement issued here on Monday, he said Nizami was a preacher of truth who had spoken the truth in front of powerful. He said his services for the country and the masses were enviable.
He said Nizami always strived for the enforcement of the Islamic system in Pakistan. He always raised his voice against dictatorship and unconstitutional acts of the rulers. Nizami and the Nawa-i-Waqt have been raising their voice for solution of the Kashmir issue in the light of UN resolutions and the nation highly valued his services in these fields, he added.
