LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says the first installment of financial assistance to flood affected people is being made speedily in a transparent manner.
He was addressing Cabinet Committee on Flood in Lahore. The committee reviewed arrangements made to provide payment to the flood-hit people in 16 districts of the province.
The Chief Minister said the resources of the nation are being spent on rehabilitation of the affectees in a transparent manner.
The Committee was briefed that for the first time in the history of the country, 25,000 rupees each are being paid to more than 13,500 flood-affected affected families.
