AIOU students face difficulties

The students of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) have been facing great difficulties in the submission of admission fee as private banks have refused to accept fees despite.
The admission fee is being submitted for autumn 2015 of the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). The situation has put future of hundreds of students at stake.
It is clearly mentioned in the prospectus of the university that beside National Bank of Pakistan, the fee could be deposited in all the branches of Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank, MCB and HBL with additional charges of Rs25 to 40. But all the banks have refused to accept the fees, taking plea that they have not been issued any notice in this regard. The last date for fee deposit is September 4.
Long queues and huge rush can be witnessed in and around all these banks as students and their parents are running from pillar to post to save their educational year. When contacted, AIOU Regional Director Ch Ghulam Hussain said that they have received complaints about the situation and are probing the matter.
The parents of the students have appealed to the authorities to take notice of the situation and take remedial steps to save the future of the students.
