Meeting discusses upgrading of school for deaf

The upgrading of Elementary School for Deaf and Defective to high level will be taken up with the high-ups as there is no high school for special children in Attock district, Chairman School Management Committee Hafiz Abdul Hameed said.
Chairing an SMC meeting of the Elementary School for Deaf and Defective the other day, he said that education for special children is of paramount importance to make the children with disabilities useful members of society.
He urged the philanthropists to play their due role for the welfare of the special children.
School Principal Tehmeena Rubab and other members of SMC also attended the meeting.
Miss Rubab said that Mehr Gul, a student of the school has secured third position in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary education Rawalpindi with 954 marks. She said that renovation of the class rooms and audio video aids are the requirements of the school and in this regard authorities concerned have been approached.
