Police foil terror bid

PESHAWAR - Police foiled a terror bid and apprehended two terrorists besides recovering explosive-laden truck and other ammunition from their possession here on Saturday. Addressing a press conference here, Senior Superintend Police Ijaz Ahmad Khan said that on a tip-off regarding the entrance of terrorist in Peshawar, police timely took action and foiled the terrorists plane. He informed that following receiving the information a team was constituted to foil the terror attempt. Police blocked northern by-pass near Motorway within the limits of Chamkani Police Station and captured a vehicle bearing registration number GLTA-937. Police recovered 375-kg explosives and 10000 detonators. Police also arrested two terrorists namely Dawood, a resident of Sakai Kamar Bara, Khurshed, a resident of Qambar Khail.
