RAWALPINDI - PML-N MNA Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Thursday withdrew his petition from the Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench after the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) booked him in a case for the alleged misuse of 500 kg ephedrine in his Gray’s Pharmaceutical Company.
The lawmaker withdrew the application, which he filed against ANF for harassing him and his employees during the enquiry of ephedrine quota allocation case, through his lawyer Sardar Ishaq Khan Advocate. Justice Sheikh Najam-ul-Hassan and Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan were to take up the petition but the petitioner pulled out the application.
During the proceedings of the case, ANF Deputy Director Abid Zulfiqar (investigation officer) along with Special Prosecutor Waseem told the court that the ANF had filed a fresh case against Gray’s Pharmaceutical Company for misusing a huge quantity of ephedrine.
