PESHAWAR - Traders community in Peshawar agreed to close their shops in various bazaars from 7-10 Muharram ul Haraam to help implement the security plan chalked out by the district administration for maintaining law and order in the holy month. During a meeting under with DCO Peshawar Siraj Ahmad Khan that was attended by SSP Operation Aijaz Ahmad, SP City Hammad Ahmad and traders representatives including Markaz-i-Tanzim Tajiran General Secretary Shaukat Khan, Sher Ghulam, president Jewelers Association Haji Abdullah, Sher Ghulam, and president of Printing Press Association Zafar Khattak, the traders agreed to close their shops from 7-10 Muharram in the rest of the areas in Peshawar, however they maintained that the cantonment area traders would close their businesses on 9th of Muharram only. The representatives of the business community, however, expressed their concern saying that they have already sustained considerable losses in the wake of law and order in the region and the current situation was also negatively affecting their trade activities. District administration Peshawar assured the traders of full cooperation with regard to addressing their problems.
