According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan 38% of Pakistanis say they do not know about the issue of ‘Presidential Immunity’. The remaining are split between those who think he does not enjoy it (37%) and others who think he does (25%).
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked that some people think that the President enjoys immunity provided by the constitution which is why a letter cannot be written to the Swiss authorities to return the unlawful money stolen from Pakistan whereas some people think that there is no such immunity.
What is your opinion?  Responding to this 38% Pakistanis claim that they do not know about the President’s immunity, 37% believe that the President enjoys no immunity whereas 25% believe that the President enjoys immunity provided to him by the constitution.
