Arms licenses in Rawalpindi to be computerized

Rawalpindi- The government has decided to computerize all the arms licenses in Rawalpindi district, like other parts of Punjab, to deal with the menace of terrorism.

Punjab Home Department has issued direction to DCO in this connection. In the first phase licenses issued between 2009 to 2014 will be computerized. The arms branch in DCO office has already started checking the record of licenses issued during this period.

After computerization of record with the cooperation of NADRA, computerized cards for arms will be issued instead of licenses which are issued in the form of book.

The Federal government will provide software for the computerization of arms record.
