International airlines resume Peshawar flights

PESHAWAR- All foreign airlines that had suspended their operations at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar, following a firing incident on an aircraft are now to resume their operations.

All international flights were operating at Islamabad airport after the firing on the aircraft at Peshawar airport on June 25, resulting in the death of a female passenger and injuring four others. Various foreign airlines including Emirates, Qatar Airways and Saudi Arabian airlines had suspended their operations at Peshawar airport after the attack.

Qatar Airways had already reopened its flight operation in Peshawar after a suspension of 8 days; its first flight arrived in Peshawar today. However, the other international flights will resume their operations tomorrow and will operate only in daytime owing to security reasons.
