CHARSADDA : Awami National Party (ANP) leader Dost Muhammad Khan was shot dead when unidentified assailants opened firing at him when he was sitting in the party's office here on Thursday.
According to police, two motorcycle-riding gunmen opened fire at a local office of the ANP in Utmanzai Bazaar, as a result of which Dost Muhammad Khan alias Khan Baba was killed on the spot. He was an active member of ANP District Charsadda.
Police said it was incident of target killing. The attackers managed to flee the scene. Security personnel cordoned off the area and a probe into the incident went underway. -
Senior ANP leaders have strongly condemned the incident and called on the provincial govt to nab the culprits.
