BAJAUR AGENCY - Malik Walat Khan, a tribal elder, was gunned down by the armed persons in Tehsil Mamond area here on Wednesday. Official sources informed this correspondent that Malik Walat Khan was with his friends outside his residence, when the armed persons fired on him, which resulted in his death on the spot. Sources further added that 48-year-old Walat Khan was an opponent of Taliban insurgents, and in the previous days he had also constituted a Lashkar against the miscreants. However, no one claimed the responsibility of the killing.
