ASF had no duty to stop Ayyan Ali at airport: Latif Khosa

Rawalpindi- A customs court in Rawalpindi today reserved its judgment regarding supermodel Ayyan’s bail plea after defense and prosecution completed their arguments.

Ayyan’s lawyers, Sardar Latif Khosa and Sardar Ishaq appeared before the customs court. The defense team argued that though the money was recovered from her possession, she didn’t intend to ‘smuggle’ it.

Latif Khosa who is representing the model said the money in question was obtained when Ayyan and her brother sold a plot through a property dealer. “She was waiting for her brother, who was due from Karachi to collect the money from her,” they argued.

Further, Khosa argued that Ayyan was stopped by the Airport Security Force, when it was none of their business to do so. He also objected over the clauses, included in the charge sheet under which officials not concerned with her case arrested her and investigated the case.

After hearing arguments, the court reserved its decision on Ayyan Ali's bail petition.

Ayyan also wants to be the magnanimous benefactor behind meals in Ramazan.

According to our sources, Jail authorities have started calculating the estimated expense for meals. Ayyan said she will give the money once the authorities are done with the budget estimation. Also, Ayyan's application has been sent to Home Secretary for approval.

She is planning to write a book and a play on life in jail after her release.
