SUKKUR - Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader and leader of the opposition in national assembly, Syed Khurshid Shah said that if Taliban were ready for talks, then we support it.
In an interview with a private TV channel here Sunday, Khurshid Shah said, “We consider Taliban the murderers of thousands of innocent persons including Benazir Bhutto. However, if Taliban are ready for talks and peace gets restored in the country, then we support it.”
He said that the PPP government had also held talks with the Taliban in Swat and added, “We support talks.” He further said that the government has now to be watchful whether Taliban fearing military actions were not seeking time to regroup themselves.
