MULTAN-The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has kicked off Multan Metro Route Beautification Drive under which plantation is being done under and along entire over 18 kilometre long route. The plantation drive begun with plantation of saplings in four spans of the metro flyover in front of Science and Emerson Colleges on Monday.

The Director General of PHA Kausar Khan told the media on this occasion that massive plantation would be done to turn the route environment friendly which would give a pleasant touch to the environment and echo system. She said that the design of the initial plantation would be copied in next phases while trees would also be planted if space available after building alignment. She disclosed that saplings were being prepared for plantation in PHA nursery.

She said that a beautiful fountain was being installed at BZ University Chowk while plantation was also underway on the road leading to Bosan area from BZ University. She reiterated that the Multan Metro route would be made more beautiful than the Lahore and Pindi routes.
