Exorbitant fares causing frequent rows

MANDI BAHAUDDIN - Transporters are not ready to transfer the benefit of decrease in CNG price to the commuters as they have not yet reduced fares.
However, the administration is doing nothing to ensure reduction in fares. Thus, quarrels between the transport personnel and passengers are order of the day. The people have demanded that the government should reduce fares in line with decrease in CNG price. They said the mafia was not willing to provide relief to the people.
They said that the transporters are influential and do not want to reduce fares. On the other side, the LPG users also demanded reduction in the rate of liquefied petroleum gas. They suggested that cut in LPG price should be announced to provide benefit to the consumers.
