CTD arrests 4 terrorist commanders in Peshawar, Swat raids

PESHAWAR : Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) yeterday arrested three key commanders of a banned organization during anti-terrorism raid in Badaber area of Peshawar.
According to SSP Operation Peshawar, The CTD received information about the presence of terrorists in the area. Acting on the tip off, the CTD personnel carried out an anti-terrorism raid and arrested three important commanders of Taliban.
SSP Operation said that the arrested commanders-Naseer, Hazrat Shah and Zarma Khan- belong to Khyber Agency and associated with a terrorist outfit.
The police officer also claimed to have recovered arms from their possession. The seized arms included SMG, pistols and two hand grenades. The arrested terrorists were shifted to undisclosed location for further investigation.
Meanwhile, the CTD Malakand Division also arrested terrorist commander Ghazi Akbar during a raid in Matta area of Swat. Akbar was wanted to law enforcement agencies in attacks on security forces in Swat in 2009.
