Five-kg heroin, 43 kgs of hash seized

The police on Monday recovered huge quantity of narcotics including 43 kgs of hashish and five kgs of heroin in two separate raids conducted in different areas on Monday.
The Motorway Police dramatically seized 43 kgs of quality hashish from a vehicle near Khanqah Dogran/Bhaka Bhattian Interchange on Motorway in the wee hours of Monday.
According to details, on a tip-off, the Motorway Police intercepted a vehicle (KV-176) near the interchange and recovered the contraband hidden in the floor of the vehicle. When the police was busy in search for the charas, the accused managed to flee on foot by jumping over the motorway fence. The police have also impounded the vehicle and registered a case against the absconding accused.
Meanwhile, in SARGODHA the police arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered five kgs of heroin from his possession. As per reports, a police team headed by CIA In-Charge Inspector Raza Allah Khan conducted raid at a house situated in Islamabab Colony in the remit of City Police and arrested an accused identified as Imran with 5 kgs of fine quality heroin. Inspector Raza Allah while speaking at a press briefing told that drug had been brought from tribal area and investigation had been launched to trace other culprits involved in the inter-provincial smuggling of drugs. The police seized electronic scale, sealing machine and other equipment from the spot.
