SRINAGAR : Indian forces in Held Kashmir killed three suspected rebels Tuesday during a lengthy gunbattle. Indian soldiers cordoned off a house in Hanjan village, some 40 kilometres south of Srinagar, on Monday evening after receiving a tip-off that militants were inside. The rebels then opened fire, sparking armed exchanges which went on till early morning. “All the three militants died during the gunbattle,” a police official said.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
