KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement today announced its decision to withdraw from talks with the government once again in an emergency press conference. MQM believes the government is not serious about the dialogue process.
“We are calling off talks with the government because of their non-serious attitude regarding the matter,” MQM leader Farooq Sattar told.
“The government should accept our resignations immediately,” Farooq added.
Lat month, the party resigned from the National Assembly, Senate and the Sindh Assembly over the Rangers-led operation in Karachi. The government was also reluctant in accepting the resignations and tasked JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman to hold talks with Altaf Hussain’s party.
