PTI women wing president deserts to PML-N


PESHAWAR - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Women Wing Peshawar President Farzana Zain on Wednesday resigned from party basic membership and announced joining PML-N along with friends and family members.
The announcement she made during a news conference here at the press club. She said that PTI Central Chairman Imran Khan had merely raised a slogan for provision of justice to poor masses, and eradication of corruption, but didn’t take even a practical step in this regard at party level. The PTI women activists expressed their confidence in the PML-N leadership and joined the Nawaz Sharif led Muslim League caravan for bring a positive change in the country through people friendly polices.
The activists, including PTI district Peshawar chapter senior vice president, Dr Afridi, Vice President, Shagufta, Musarrat Sikandar, and Kalsoom.
On the occasion, PML-N Women Youth Wing Provincial President Sobia Khan, Central Information Secretary Youth Wing Khadim Ali Khan, Abdul Bari Khattak, a PML-N candidate for next elections were also present. “How, it could be possible to give due right and justice to people by the PTI, which was not making justice and respecting their activists and workers,” Zain questioned.
She said no merit was being followed in decision-making process in the PTI. She said the PTI leadership was also not giving due respect and status to workers in the party.
She said the decisions were being made on totally favouritism and nepotism basis. She said the PTI central leadership had failed to take action against the like and dislike policy despite aware of the party internal situation in KP. She said that she had served the party for the last 16 years and played a pivotal role for strengthen women wing in the Peshawar. Despite the serving long time in the PTI, she said the party had not given due respect and status to her, and not taken against the unfair decision, which she has pointed out to the PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
She decided to quit the PTI and join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. She viewed the PML-N was the only party which could give her due respect and status. “I will work for strengthening hands of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and organised party at the district level in a benefiting manner,” she claimed. She assured that her other fellows would join the PML-N in coming days.
Speaking on the occasion, Sobia Khan welcomed the joining of the PTI activists PML-N. He said the party would give due respect and status to her. She said the party would be strengthened after joining women activists from PTI. She claimed that the PML-N had always given due status and respect to their workers.
