Gang busted; 56 cattle heads recovered

OUR STAFF REPORTER SARGODHA - Police claimed to have arrested notorious Fazloo Ranjha rustler gang allegedly involved in more than 40 criminal incidents and recovered 56 cattle worth Rs10 million from their possession during a grandcrack down across the district. Addressing a press conference at Mela police station, Sargodha district police officer said that he had formed a special team comprising Kotmoman DSP and station head offices. He had assigned a specific task to the team for the apprehension of the gang. The DPO said that the ring leader was also a proclaimed offender and he had been stealing cattle for the last 10 years. The investigating team traced the gang and after hectic efforts the police arrested Fazloo Ranjha, Saifullah alias Saifoo of Pindi Bhattian, Iqbal of district Chiniot and Riaz of Sargodha. During interrogation, 56 cattle were recovered while their two felons Alias and Abbas are still at large. The DPO said that 42 FIRs had been registered against the accused. He added that the accused sold cattle at the cattle markets of various cities. He also said that the police had already busted five rustler gangs and the recovered animals had been handed over to their owners. He observed that the crackdown would continue till the elimination of criminals.
