MSM rallies against target killings in Karachi

Our Staff Reporter MULTAN - The workers of Muttahida Shehri Mahaaz (MSM) staged a protest against target killing in Karachi here at Chowk Kachehri on Wednesday. Over a dozen protesters gathered at the chowk under the leadership of Tariq Naem Ullah and shouted slogans against the government. They were also holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands regarding immediate crackdown on the terrorists. Speaking on the occasion, Tariq Naem Ullah and others said that the terrorists killed hundreds of innocent citizens during the last one month but the government did nothing to stop the killing spree. They alleged that MQM, ANP and PPP were responsible for terrorism and the terrorists were not arrested because of their political pressure. They alleged that land grabbers, extortionists and target killers were backed by the above mentioned three parties as a result of which they committed fearless actions in entire Karachi. They said that the interior minister Rehman Malik failed to maintain law and order in the country and therefore he should resign from his office. They further demanded immediate launching of army operation in Karachi for maintaining peace. DEATH ANNIVERSARY TODAY: The death anniversary of Syed Alamdar Hussain Gilani, the father of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, will be held here at Circuit House on Thursday (today). Premier Gilani is coming down to Multan on a special two-day visit to join the proceedings. In-charge Prime Minister Camp Office Syed Ahmad Mujtaba Gillani, MPA Syed Abdul Qadir Gillani, MNAs, senators and MPAs from across the country, political and social workers will attend the prayer as a large number of invitations have been issued by the Prime Minister House.
