Kasur hospital lets down patients

KASUR
Hundreds of patients visiting DHQ Hospital Kasur continued to suffer due to alleged negligence of the hospital administration and the apathy of the doctors while the situation is being benefitted by the private hospitals.
DHQ Hospital serves as a referral hospital as majority of the patients rushed to the emergency ward in a critical  condition are referred to  other hospitals in Lahore on one pretext or the other.
It is observed that the lady doctors remain absent from the duty after 2 pm and the paramedical staff in the wards refer patients to various private hospitals. Apart from this, various touts also roam in and around the hospital round the clock.
The situation in the cardiac centre also presents a dismal picture of the affairs as the only cardiac specialist prefers to check the patients at his residence in the premises of the DHQ Hospital. It is also learnt that only the patients visiting the private clinic of the doctor are admitted to the hospital while the others are referred to Lahore.
The condition and performance of the X-Ray department is also the same. Civil Society and social organisations have demanded that the chief minister should pay a surprise visit to the DHQ Hospital so that the reality is revealed to him.
