The City Municipal Corporation launched a cleanliness drive to make the city neat and clean. Acting City Administrator Baber Shehzad inaugurated the campaign at central Shaheed Chowk in presence of elders representing diverse segments of society.
President AJK Chamber of Commerce & Industry Javed Iqbal Ch, President Kashmir Press Club Mirpur AH Rao, Secretary General Shujah Aziz, SVP AJKCCI Kh Zaffar Iqbal, Afraaz Hamza and others also joined the cleanliness campaign.
“The cleanliness campaign will continue for an indefinite period till the entire city is neat and clean in letter and spirit”, said the acting Administrator Municipal Corporation.
The administrator continued that to furnish the city with latest civic amenities, the CMC has launched various development projects during the current fiscal year.
Unveiling various measures by his institutions to bring it to the expectations of the citizens, he said that the citizens of Mirpur would soon see a tremendous change vis-à-vis professional performance of the CMC staff.
