OUR STAFF REPORTER MIRPURKHAS - A girl who had recently contracted freewill marriage was killed over karo-kari at village Jangi Khan Mewo, taluka Kot Ghulam Muhammad on Saturday. Report said that Samina Rajput, 18, daughter of Khan Muhammad was shot dead while her body was brought to the emergency ward of Civil Hospital, Mirpurkhas for autopsy. Deceased's brother Hashim Rajput was later surrendered before Kot Ghulam Muhammad Police claiming that he killed his sister over karo-kari. Sources said that deceased Ms Samina Rajput had been love marriage with Ali Akbar Mari, resident of Jhilori village on November 22. While according to deceased husband Ali Akbar Mari, they were tortured by armed persons when they were returning to home from local court. He accused that his wife Ms Samina Rajput was kidnapped by her relatives on Nov 25 and later she was murdered. He demanded the higher authorities to provide him justice.
