RAWALPINDI: On the instructions of Director General Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Maj Gen Zafar Iqbal, the force conducted multiple operations at airports of several cities and foiled narcotics smuggling bids by nabbing seven drug carriers including two foreigners.
The operations were conducted at Benazir Bhutto Islamabad International Airport (BBIIAP), Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar and Jinnah International Airport Karachi, informed ANF spokesman on Monday.
According to him, ANF held four smugglers including two foreign ladies on account of smuggling 1.3-kg cocaine, 235 grams methamphetamine and 33 heroin filled capsules. The accused were identified as Iichenna Mbaogu of Nigeria, Lelita Porecare Graciano of Philippine, Mehdi Hassan and Tariq Mehmood.
Similarly, an action at Peshawar airport resulted recovery of 20 heroin filled capsules from the stomach of Zahoor-ur-Rehman, who was to travel to Bahrain by Gulf Airlines flight number GF-0787.

He was destined for Damam by Oman Airlines flight No. WY-328. In Karachi, ANF apprehended Muhammad Jumman and recovered 1.08-kg of heroin concealed in the folds of his bag.
The spokesman added that cases were registered with ANF Police Stations while further investigations were on.
