Captain Saeedur Rehman who embraced martyrdom in a terrorists attack in Dera Murad Jamali was laid to rest in his native town Tahli Wala Tanda with complete military honour here on Tuesday.
Gujranwala Corps Commander Lt-Gen Ghayyur Mehmood, other army officers and a large number of citizens attended the funeral for the martyr. A smartly turned out army contingent presented salute and laid floral wreath on the grave of the captain on behalf of President of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff, Chief of Army Staff and the Corps Commander. On the occasion, people lauded the Army for being on the forefront to root out the menace of terrorism. They also lauded the great sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in the war against terror.
