MAILSI - Police and public are cooperating with each other to curb the crimes and if police take serious measures it can control any unlawful situation and injustice in the country.
This was stated by Vehari DPO Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi during a press conference on arresting 2 accused involved in two serious crimes here at Thana Mitroo.
The DPO informed the media that Muhammad sajjad was one of the arrested criminals, who made himself disappeared after killing a woman, Safiya Bibi, resident of Chak 165/WB, by throwing acid on her in the jurisdiction of Thana Mitroo.
The DPO said that Sajjad was very clever man as he had been continuously changing his locations and changed 28 mobile SIMs to escape the arrest. He said the police team raided several areas of Punjab and arrested the accused from Sohail Town, district Kasur.
He applauded SHO Mushtaq Ahmad, ASI Khalid Mehmood and others for performing their duties honestly and awarded them Rs25,000 cash and certificates.
The DPO also appreciated DSP Malik Dawood and his team for arresting another accused, Muhammad Amjad, of killings.
