SIALKOT - A resident of village Daallowali-Sialkot drowned in River Chenab near Head Marala while bathing here the other day.
As per detail, a young boy identified as Pitras Maseeh went for a picnic along with with his friends to River Chenab. Soon after reaching the river they started bathing in the river. Meanwhile, he went into deep water and drowned. The divers of Rescue 1122 started reach for the body. It is to be noted that it was the fourth incident drowning in River Chenab over the past three days.
On the other hand, the district administration miserably failed to ensure implementation on a ban imposed on bathing and picnicking at rivers, canals and streams under the section 144.
