Manchester- Pakistani community in Manchester hosted a reception in honor of top position holders students of Pakistan visiting UK.

The Iftar reception was hosted by UK chapter of the PML-N and was attended by Members of the European Parliament including Sajjad Karim and Afzal Khan. These 40 brilliant students who had topped the Matriculation, FA/FSC and BA/BSC examinations are currently on a study tour of Europe while during their stay in UK they visited universities of Oxford, Cambridge and University College London.
From UK, these shining stars would then fly to Germany where they will visit various world class universities including Heidelberg University. The students will also visit Turkey and besides educational tours will be taken on sightseeing trips as well.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-N UK President Zubair Gul said that the Punjab Chief Minister was not only taking historic steps for the promotion of education in the province, but all over the country also, which would yield far-reaching results. MEPs Sajjad Karim and Afzal Khan distributed certificates among top position holder students.
Top position holder students termed their foreign study tour a historic step of Chief Minister Punjab. On the occasion, students expressed the view that due to study tour of foreign universities, their knowledge is improving. They said that the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has proved himself education-friendly in the real sense by sending them on study tour of foreign universities.
One topper each was selected from the Province of Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilit Baltistan while 35 top students were taken from different educational boards of Punjab for this European education tour.
