PESHAWAR - Six bodies of unidentified people were recovered from tehsil Mirali of North Waziristan Agency on Thursday. Sources said dead bodies were found in the downtown areas of Mirali. It is, however, not clear that who did kill these men and either these were militants or common people. North Waziristan is one of the seven regions in Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) governed by tribal laws situated along the Pak-Afghan border and rife with Taliban militant activity.The military operation named ‘Zarb-i-Azb’ was launched in the North Waziristan region in June following Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan claimed attack on Karachi airport.At least 467,000 people have fled the region into nearby areas of Pakistan as well as neighboring Afghanistan, the biggest movement of refugees in Pakistan in years.THREE IED MAKING FACTORIES FOUND IN NWAINP adds: Pakistan Army has claimed that three more IED making factories with large quantity of explosives were unearthed in North Waziristan.Three IED making factories with large quantity of explosives, anti-tank mines, a suicide bomber training center, a media facility and a rocket cache were recovered from the cleared area of North Waziristan Agency during the Operation Zarb-e-Azb, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.The ISPR said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb was progressing successfully as six IEDs attached with four computers in a ready position were also recovered from a hotel in the area. The forces in NWA are hitting and shelling militant hideouts, the statement said.MORE CHECKPOSTS ESTABLISHED IN MIRANSHAHThe ground operation phase of Operation Zarb-e-Azb continues successfully as the forces continue advance after destroying militant hideouts. According to reports, more checkposts have been established near Miranshah bazaar. Forces have tightened the surroundings of the terrorists’ hideouts on various points.
