Islamabad: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman met Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the PM House today and discussed professional matters, relating to Pakistan Air Force.
Sources said the Air Chief briefed the prime minister about state of operational preparedness of the Air force, its plans for modernization and challenges in the foreseeable future in view of induction plans of 4th generation aircraft in the neighborhood.
The Prime Minister appreciated the role of PAF in defence of the country, including during Zarb e Azb operation where it handed down a severe blow to the terrorists. He assured that the government would meet all the requirements of PAF despite resources constraint.
Nawaz Sharif said the government is alive to the situation and would do everything possible, to bolster defence of the frontiers of the motherland.
