SIALKOT
Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Shahid Hussain has pledged to resolve all the tax-related issues being faced by the exporters and assured the Sialkot business community of early payment of sales tax refunds.
He was addressing a meeting of exporters at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry auditorium where SCCI President Dr. Sarfraz Bashir, SVP Mian Anwar, Vice President Khawar Sapal, the representatives of trade bodies and local senior FBR officials were also present.
He said that the Sialkot exporters should work hard with full devotion, dedication and complete peace of mind for increasing national exports and giving a boost to the economy. He said that the tax collection system of Federal Board of Revenue would be made easier and further simplified for giving maximum relief to the business community. He said that all the pending sales tax cases of exporters would be disposed of to ensure smooth flow of cash capital in the industries.
The chief commissioner discussed various matters with the Sialkot industrialists and exporters. He also assured the exporters of making efforts to resolve the prolonged delayed issues of income tax and sales tax refund claims.
On the occasion, the SCCI president demanded early payment of all sales tax refunds to the exporters. He also demanded the simplification of registration process in the sales tax department, especially for the new companies.
