Islamabad-The Supreme Court has directed to install CCTV cameras at all the Courts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi within forty eight hours and asked for a report to be presented in this regard. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani gave the orders today while hearing a suo motu case regarding attack on Islamabad District Court. The Interior Secretary Dr. Shahid submitted a detailed report on Islamabad District Court attack in the apex court. According to the report, 66 policemen had a duty to guard the court premises. Chief Justice inquired about the number of policemen deployed at the time of the attack. Interior Secretary responded that 47 policemen were on duty at the time of the incident but he was unsure of the number of armed policemen. He further added that policemen did use their weapons. The Chief Justice expressed anger over the lack of CCTV cameras at the Court despite the presence of terror threats in Islamabad. After the hearing, the court was adjourned till next Monday.
