BAHAWALPUR (- A book launching ceremony of renowned philanthropist Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib’s book, “Akhowat ka Safar” will be held at IUB on May 9.
A function will be also held in the honour of Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib in recognition of his remarkable services a social worker and micro financer.
IUB Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar announced this during a meeting with a leading member of a social organization Akhuwat, BCCI ex President Ch Muhammad Ali here on Saturday.
The VC remarked that the IUB was used to honour the distinguished personalities over their remarkable services and achievements for national cause, social services and outstanding performance in different fields so Dr Amjad Saqib too deserved to be given due honour.

Speaking on the occasion, former BCCI President Ch Muhammad Ali said that Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib’s support and services for the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund, Punjab Education foundation, Hilal-e-Ahmar and Fountain House were the simple prove of devoted cause and commitment while more than 25, 000 people of South Punjab had avail the benefits of Qurz-e-Husna through Akhuwat programme as around Rs350 million had been disbursed among deserving and needy under THE programme in South Punjab.
It is worth mentioning that Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib had served in the Civil Services, World Bank, UNDP, Asian Development Bank and many other international organizations.
