CM orders purchase of modern machines

RAWALPINDI - Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the high-ups of the City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) and District Health Department (DHD) to purchase modern machines for diagnosing dengue and handover it over to the administration of Holy Family Hospital (HFH) so that quality treatment could be provided to dengue patients.
CM issued these directions during his visit to HFH and inquiring after the health of dengue patients admitted there on Sunday. He was flanked by Federal Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Secretary Health Ahsan Iqbal, Principal Rawalpindi Medical College and Chief Executive Allied Hospitals Prof Dr Muhammad Umer, Medical Superintendent HFH Dr Arshad Ali Sabir and other doctors of the Allied Hospitals.
He also censured the officials of the health department and asked them for tangible steps to control the virus. He was briefed by secretary health about the arrangements made for control of the virus. He was informed that patients were being given free of cost treatment and medicines. The CM also asked the patients about the treatment who expressed satisfaction.
CM also snubbed the big wheels of CDGR and DHD over their failure in stopping outbreak of dengue in the district, sources informed. CM also visited the dengue wards and met with the dengue patients. He ensured them the government would provide them quality treatment.
