HAFIZABAD - The inhabitants of Mughalpura took out a rally as a protest against the negligent and apathetic Gepco officials to restore power supply which has been cut off for the last eight days.
Hundreds of protesters blocked Jalalpur Road by burning tyres for more than two hours. Boota Fouji, a protester, said that the transformer of the locality went out of order eight days ago. He added that the Gepco authorities had demanded Rs45,000 for installation of new transformer.
FARMER KILLED: A cultivator in village Thatha Dhooda was shot dead by his brother over a minor dispute.
According to police source, deceased Sanaullah and his brother Shoukat used harsh word over the use of a machine. Thereupon, Shoukat and another opened fire on Sanaullah. Resultantly, he died on the spot.
