Qazi announces to hold moot on Muslim unity


ISLAMABAD - Mili Yakjehti Council (MYC) is organising two-day Ittehad Ummat Conference, which will be participated by Imam Kaaba and religious figures from Iran, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, and Egypt.
Addressing a press conference, Mili Yakjehti Council (MYC) President former chief Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Qazi Hussain Ahemd said that religious figures from different school of thoughts would gather to eliminate frivolous differences. There is dire need to stop the incidents like desecration of the Holy Quran and all religious scholars will discuss this issue in detail. The two-day conference is scheduled on 11 and 12 of next month. He said this decision was taken after a detailed meeting, which was participated by Allam Sajid Ali Naqvi, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Allama Saqib Akbar, Pir Abdul Shakor Nashbandi, Dr Abid Rauf Orakzai, Mufti Ameer Zeb, Hafiz Abdur Rahman Makki and others. Ahfiz Hussain Ahmed will contact with different religious and other organisations to ensure their participation in the conference. He said that a committee has been formed to contact religious scholars living abroad. This committee comprises Allam Sajid Ali Naqvi, Hafiz Abdur Rahman Makki, and Hafiz Abdul Ghafar and other. To a question about restoration Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), he was hopeful for reunion of erstwhile religio-political parties.
The crucial meeting to restore MMA is schedule on 18th October.
