A Mehfil-e-Hamd-o-Na’at was held at the Rashidiya Auditorium under the auspices of the Bahawalpur Arts Council here the other day.
A number of girl students of different schools of the city including Behria Foundation took part with religious fervour and zeal. MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi and eminent social workers included Begum Akhter Habibullah Bhutta, Mrs Shehla Farhan and Nasim Jaffery were also present on the occasion.  They appreciated the presentation and participation of the students in the Hamd-o-Naat Mehfil.  Bahawalpur Arts Council Resident Director Riazul Haq Bhatti, in his address, touched upon various aspects of Holy Prophet’s life, his teachings and the tenets of Islam.
He argued that merely performing the religious rituals does not absolve the believers of all responsibilities.
“In fact, treating fellow human beings with courtesy and politely are other basic components of the faith,” he contended.
