ISLAMABAD - It appears that torturous attitudes have plagued the society as a principal of a private academy in a remote town Buchal Kalan of Tehsil Kallar Kahar, district Chakwal, subjected one of his female students to brutal torture. Since the tortured girl, a second year student, is an orphan, her guardian cousin lady Miss R took up the matter with Principal Zia-ur-Rehman who rather threatened her of dire consequences. He did not stop here but also sent text messages to the guardian lady maligning her character, besides threatening. The vulgar messages she forwarded to this scribe are not simply reportable. When this scribe tried to contact principal Zia-ur-Rehman, he did not pick his cell phone No 03325908929. According to the guardian lady, she could not submit the complaint to the police post (choki) Buchal Kalan as she reached home late in the evening and she had no male family member capable of going to the police. My two brothers are disabled and I run a non-governmental organisation of rehabilitation named Irada, she told TheNation on telephone. She said that she would submit the complaint to the police early in the morning on Saturday (today). She said torturing students irrespective of their gender was a routine matter for the principal who was also the owner of the private collage named as Jinnah Academy.
