JEDDAH- Saudi authorities beheaded a Pakistani today after sentencing him to death for drug trafficking, the Interior Ministry announced.

Izzat Gul had been convicted of trading a large amount of heroin, the ministry said in a statement, without specifying the quantity.

His beheading in the western port city of Jeddah raises the number of executions to 46 this year.
