Guns leveled at Edhi workers who rescued fire affectees: Faisal Edhi

KARACHI: Edhi Foundation’s Faisal Edhi today expressed displeasure over the management of upscale hotel that caught fire overnight, saying the hotel administration leveled guns at Edhi workers who were busy with rescue operation.

While talking to media he said, workers of Edhi Foundation completed the rescue and relief operation at Regent Plaza; later on, the management pointed guns at them and expelled them out of the building.

“We helped the wounded and affected people from the building. But the hotel administration did not help us nor did they guide us about the hotel’s ways in and out,” Faisal complained.

“After the operation was completed, the management shoved us out of the premises,” he said.
