ECP serves notices on three MPAs


GUJRANWALA - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday issued notices to three members of the Punjab Assembly to appear before the commission on Feb 7 as they allegedly hold dual nationality.
According to the District Election Commissioner, the ECP issued notices to the three MPAs beong to Gujranwala City on an application filed by Advocate Muhammad Asif under article 31 C of the Constitution.  The MPAs include Imran Khalid Butt, Saeed Mughal and Mian Ghulam Sarwar from constituencies PP-91, 94 and 97 respectively.
15 more measles cases reported: Fifteen more children having infected with measles were brought to Civil Hospital here on Monday.
Reportedly, 15 more children, having infected by contagious measles disease were brought to Civil Hospital. They were identified as Subhan, Khadija, Isha, Tahir, Shahbaz, Mahnoor, Ubaid Ullah, Menahil, Abdullah, Nisha, Shakeel, Mahmood, Faseeh, Shahid and Qudoos.
Civil Hospital child specialist Dr Farukh while talking to The Nation said that vaccination against the fatal diseases like measles should be done as a precautionary measure to protect children.
He added that measles was an infectious disease thus proper care should be given and infected child should be isolated from other children as infected child could prove to be a vehicle for the transmission of this deadly virus.
